Where the hell do I find you guys?

What is the obsession with INTJs?

I dated an INTJ for 3 years and we were so incompatible. He didn't really enjoy humor, he didn't understand how we could work on emotion, therefore I was wrong when I did. Everything was calculated and logical. He wouldn't speak to me unless there was a specific reason. He didn't like to make chit chat. He was heavily introverted and didn't want to go anywhere with me. He didn't enjoy the company of anyone other than myself. He thought he was right all the time, and on some kind of high horse because INTJs are rare in the general population. If I mentioned anything related to how I feel, it was brushed aside, because feelings are inferior to logic. He was really good at manipulating, because he knew ENFPs are people pleasers and don't like conflict.

So either:

  • All INTJs are like this, or in part like this, which is how they ended up labelled an INTJ.

OR

  • Myer Briggs is a load of shit because people can't be categorized due to their life experiences influencing their personality.

Maybe I just met the only douchebag INTJ.

Go over to /r/INTJ and tell me they are nice people. I mean, seriously, go and spend time there, read the posts and interact with them. Because I spent a lot of time over there, months checking in on the posts, trying to understand my ex-partner and all they did was down vote me to oblivion any time I mentioned emotion.

I have zero idea what could possibly be alluring about tying yourself to someone who literally sees everything in life the opposite way to yourself, and also has the audacity to tell you the way you see it is wrong, and the way they see it is better.
