Are giving Christmas gifts to your boss normal?

OP I work in a small office. We do typically get end of the year bonuses, but they're nothing wild.

Most years, we'd pool money and get gifts for the 2 owners. This year, I decided fuck this, I'm not doing it anymore. Last year, one of the gifts sat on their desk untouched for literally 3 months. After that I said, no fucking way.

A couple team members asked last week if we were doing something and I basically said they're more than welcome to do it, but I'm out. After 7 years of collecting money, often times covering people who just don't ever pay, plus time driving, wrapping, etc.

NORMALIZE NO GIFTS AT WORK AND NOT FEELING OBLIGATED TO THANK YOUR BOSS FOR EMPLOYING YOU!
