'Are ye stripped of pride?'

I don't think it could accurately be called a true religion

Hey, if you don’t mind me asking. In all the time you spent studying Mormonism, did you make it around to Moroni’s promise? There’s a verse in Moroni 7 about how if you ask God in faith He will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. Did you read The Book of Mormon with an open heart and cry out to your Maker to know if it is true? The reason I ask this is because most critics of Mormonism typically ignore the very means The Book of Mormon provides for determining the truth of the Mormonism.

Have you read the story of Enos? Alma 5? Jacob 5? Helaman 12? Mormon 9? Ether 12? Moroni 7? What about the story of Lehi/Nephi’s vision of the tree of life in 1 Nephi? What about King Benjamin’s speech in Mosiah? What about D&C 88?
Well, I did. And I had the most powerful spiritual experiences in my life. Does this mean Mormonism is “The Truth”? I don’t know. But it is enough to keep me going to Mormon Church until I find something I think is head and shoulders above it. So far I haven’t found it.
