AskMen there's a thread on AskWomen about creepy guys and I know women encounter them on a regular basis but how about creepy women? Do you have a good story about them that you could share with us?

I forgot about this, but in high school, a girl from my lunch period added me on Myspace and apparently developed a crush on me. I'm extremely gullible, too passive to ignore someone, and a good listener, so we started talking constantly. She messaged me for a few months and believed that she was in love with me.

At one point, she told me that she was in love with me, although we never met in person. I told her this wasn't realistic, but obviously that didn't matter.

She started telling me a lot about her life. That she moved a lot, that her friends were mean to her, that she was depressed, and made it sound like her mom was abusive, and I would try (in a poor, high schooler way) to comfort this person that I didn't really want to talk to, but didn't feel like I could ignore.

Things got more and more intense over the months. Once, she told me her mom was beating her, and I tried to call the police. She told me she was committing suicide a few times. I was sick and dizzy the first two times that she didn't respond after saying that she swallowed a bottle of pain killers, because I didn't think I had enough info to call 911. She would text me later saying "sorry my phone died."

One time she told me that there were robbers in her house. She could hear noises downstairs, and I told her to call 911, or give me her address so that I could. She ignored these, but told me that she was tied up by the burglars, and was texting me through tied up hands.

This was when I finally realized that I was being lied to by someone desperate for attention. After talking with a friend about this (for the first time), I finally decided to stop talking to her.

To this very day, I get a biennial friend request on Facebook from her, which boggles my mind because

  1. We STILL have never met and

  2. It strikes me that she is pretending she never acted this way, but hey, I don't pretend understand how stranger's minds work.

tl;dr-- one teenager, who is too passive to ignore anyone, is added on MySpace by another idiotic teenager, who has borderline personality disorder or something. Teenager 2 thinks she loves teenager 1 (whom she never met), and makes up stories about abuse, suicide and kidnapping to prove it.
