Are private schools worth the money?

The standard of education at the private school I attended was very good, but it’s hard to say whether it was worth the cost because I don’t have many public school experiences to compare my experiences to. Simply from observations I’ve made walking past public schools on my regular walks, the most glaring difference between public & private schools is the quality of the buildings & facilities. Maybe that improvement in quality I’ve observed is reflected in other areas too. A key benefit of having these facilities is it facilitates extra-curricular sport and other activities. Exposing your child to that - giving them a broader range of experiences - is important in my opinion. I wouldn’t know anyway. I’m not a parent.
