Agreed. As an Australian born muslim Justification on this matter is a promise made to the so called allied nations. Overseas politics is not easy to understand plus we have basic political agenda here compared to anywhere else. I understand we need to do more fighting terror (home and abroad) but the perfect example is during WWI. We only went to Ancaz cove be cause of the british. Did we have cause no. All commonwealth nations got conscripted. I have served overseas in which the Anzac legend began. Let me tell you its not a pretty site for an Australian born who has never witnessed that kind of violence with extreme denominations. Seeing things you only hear about on the news so it was pretty hard to adjust.the question of why serve in another country and not the Australian army? Well lets say that until this day i do not know the exact reasons accept dual citizenship in which i offered to renounce to join australian army still the answer was no for some odd reason. Even most of my mates did not get in. While serving overseas i was asked if australia was to war again with the same nations of WWI who would you side with? I told my CO Australia. Because of this comment i was told my time here would be like hell. I did not care. I would die for australia irrelevant of what my background or religious beliefs are. Justification in the matter events of france and other non australian (unless seen as a threat to Australia) related millitary missions will always bring the war home. As the saying geos "clean up your on backyard first" we need to get rid of the people who see australia as a target and not abide by the australian law. Cancel there passports and deport them out.
