Well you see, when Barr released his summary Democrats said they couldn't believe it and wanted Mueller's report.

Then report was released and it turns out Barr basically summed up the report well enough. Democrats panic and they have to do something otherwise it's obvious that they've spent 2 years on a soft-coup for reasons that they completely misrepresented.

So we go back to trying to skewer Barr who is out of fucks to give at this point. He would probably even be okay being the sacrificial lamb if it meant the Democrats finally faced reality, moved on from their Russian collusion hoax, and went back to doing things for the country. In practice, after Barr they'll probably go after Mueller or launch some new conspiracy theory about obstruction of justice.
