Only watched the cat video. I think your presentation is very wrong. You're putting results in front of reasoning, showing them out of thin air saying "I'll explain later". This is confusing, and the results are meaningless beforehand.

But then, you're going into the whole "we use this formula" approach to explain things, which removes all the meaning from the problem-solving, and all the understanding of what mathematical modeling. This is exactly what a teacher shouldn't do.

In general, any talk about a "formula" is detrimental to understanding. They're mathematical relations, and you should treat them as such, and avoid using the word 'formula' altogether.

Work upwards on the problems starting from first principles your students already know, and explain the reasoning of each step so they can understand what mathematical problem-solving looks like.

Also, please slowdown and give students some time to absorb the information. Even if it's a video that can be paused anytime, nobody really does that.
