Unfortunately they can if I want to continue driving my car since someone has to pay the insurance/for repairs/gas, and they’re purposefully not going to pay that anymore (and only paying it if I go to college) in order to try to get me to do what they want. They act like I’m fucking psychotic when I tell them I know this is what they’re trying to do.

They’ve always done this kind of thing. I wanted to play football as a kid. Even before they started talking more about the NFL brain damage thing, my dad always thought it was stupid for kids to play football. He said I could play on the condition that he refuses to “support it” by going to any of my games.
