For the concern trolls and anti-choicers pouring in:

Abortion must be legal because women must have exclusive ownership of their bodies. No one has any right to our bodies but ourselves, and no one has any place in it without our explicit, enthusiastic, and constant consent.

I understand that you may feel a freshly-inseminated zygote has the same value of human life as yourself or me or anyone else and I won't attempt to convince you otherwise (though you should read 'How I Lost Faith in the "Pro-Life" Movement' and its followup articles at the end if you haven't already), but know that you are very literally telling women who become pregnant they no longer own their bodies and are just vassals for another person.

Some people might try to dress that up in a more pretty-sounding way, like that it is a woman's duty and honor to bear life, but to me that's just gilding a cage. Our sexual organs shouldn't be used as shackles; this is a war women have fought through history, and not just on the topic of abortion.

If you want to disagree with the bolded statement at the top of the comment with something like, "But what about THE BABY'S ownership of ITS body?!" then find some scientists willing to experiment with removing a fetus and giving it to a willing participant's womb or a mechanical uterus to stay developing. That may sound ridiculous and farfetched, but fuck it, hoverboards exist now so why the hell not?

I don't know what the right answer to the abortion issue is right now, but your statements are as ignorant as those claiming the baby has full priority over the woman.
