As a Bernie supporter and a software engineer, have to say that servers can and do buckle under load. That's nearly always the result of poor design and almost never a deliberate thing (short of someone inserting an "If > X users, crash()" kind of line in the code).

Not saying there weren't ugly political games afoot, nor that Clinton's camp is free of guilt. But a system crash and an admittedly unnecessarily strict application window isn't the same as "illegally taking registered voters off the lists".
