Some country's just automatically hate whoever is in charge. Look at France for instance. Or the UK, or a lot of other places that are doing reasonably well. It doesn't matter, or there's nothing you can do about it anyway.

Maybe the whole "cult of personality" thing sets in with a populace before there is a guy to adore, and leads them to dislike the guy who doesn't fit the bill? I don't know. Personally, I figure the presidency is just a job. Which involves some speeches here and there, but most importantly involves picking the team that actually runs things. Biden's done pretty good on that front.

I'm not bowing down for another human being myself. Or ceasing critical thinking any time soon, but I'll still vote for a guy who does the job well.
