Binge eating helped me stop binge eating

I'm in no way advocating something like this, but I find if I WAY overdo a certain junk food it will usually kill whatever craving I have for it.

I used to keep Halo Top in my freezer for ice cream cravings. Granted, Halo Top is much lower calorie than real ice cream but it's still a sweet. I joke about "I could eat a whole pint of this for less than 300 calories!" but never did it. Until one day I had a really bad day at work, stressed out, didn't want to cook dinner, saw the Halo Top and said fuck it - ate the whole thing at once.

I haven't been able to look at Halo Top since. I was so sick. The cream and sugar and all that indigestible fiber...my stomach was a wreck.

Now when I have an ice cream craving...I just go eat some ice cream. Haha. But I don't buy any to keep in the freezer. We go to the little creamery a few miles away and make it an outing. I find when I make the effort to go somewhere nice for dessert I tend to eat more reasonable portions of interesting things - as opposed to binging on chocolate ice cream in the freezer just because it's there.
