I'm a 4th year student, close to graduating. Looking for your thoughts on the following:

A pharmacist who works at a supermarket chain in my area has known my dad for a while, and was asking for a favor from him. I haven't met her, but my dad told her before I'm in pharmacy school and I guess she wanted to return the favor. She gave my dad the DM's number and said that I should make sure to interview with the company's corporate office.

I'm nervous about calling the DM but also desperate to find a job in this market. (I currently work at a different community pharmacy chain)

Should I call the DM, or would they think it's weird how I got their number?

What should I say on the phone?
