Here are the points I disagree with

• Black Clover is being billed as the next Naruto

No it's not. That Crunchyroll video just says it's an anticipated seasonal anime. No one is saying it's going to be this decade's best anime, except by people who are trying to characterize it as that so their critiques of it can seem more valid.

• Problem isn't that he's generic, it's that he's unlikeable

Unlikeable main characters doesn't make a show bad. This is a micharacterization of the actual problem, the problem is that Asta is unrelateable. Jeoffrey is an unlikeabe character... does that make the Jeoffrey arch in Game of Thrones bad? No, because you can have good writing with unlikeable characters.

Geoff says being generic isn't a problem, but he keeps making the same jokes about how the plot and characters are generic. Making the same joke over and over, hmm, I wonder why Geoff got so bad at BC for doing the same thing...

• Asta hits on the Nun too much

Oh no children in anime want to have intimiate/inappropriate relationships, how can my puritan values deal with this?

• There's lots of filler

I thought this was a critique of the anime, not a critique of manga to anime adaptations.

• 3 episode rule

Let me tell you why Black Clover is bad. No wait, let me tell you why Black Clover not abiding by my arbitrary rule is the reason why Black Clover is bad.

• Manga is well-paced, production team should have paced this better... Takes every scene from manga and blow it up into a full scene

Manga could've been really badly paced too, but that wouldn't have made the show better or worse. Manga is seperate from anime.

Episode 1 adds flashback, Episode 4 adds 6 minutes

All filler is automatically bad because reasons. I thought we were going to get an analysis of the show, not a recitation of animefillerlist.com

• Asta not having magic means he's in a wheelchair so people look like dicks

How is not having magic equivalent to being in a wheelchair? Everyone has different levels of magic, but being in a wheelchair is a binary position.

• Anime will wreck oncoming manga characters

This show is bad because I'm predicting it will be bad.
