Blood Bankers: What Would You Do? Follow-Up

I think there are third options. None of us were trying to make him or "expected" him to stay over. We're all just there trying to get our own jobs done - it was very busy. He didn't notify anyone who had any power that it was an issue. From what he said later I think he feels it was expected of him and was fed up. In reality, since he didn't notify anyone who could cover blood bank, I don't think you can say whether management expected him to stay or not. And judging by the supervisor's response that he would have come in, I would say that they did not expect him to stay. I didn't expect him to stay late, but I expected him to communicate with us or a supervisor when we found out if he wouldn't. We're a team here. And if he didn't want to work as a team, why is he back? I'm not trying to drag him under the bus too much because we all have our own lives, but at the same time I'm surprised any medical worker would say it's completely cool to abandon human life if management sucks. Again, quit the next day, sure. I just don't agree with those actions in the moment.
