Bloomberg is bombing in the debate....

I know nothing about the inter-workings of the top military Generals or other important figures at the Pentagon. But I assume they know what they’re doing considering they have kept us relatively safe since 9/11. The same can’t be said for many other Western nations. But for arguments sake I’ll assume your statement “nothing particularly impressive or wise about a modern general” is true. What’s the alternative, put all of our trust into former reality tv star of The Apprentice Donald Trump’s gut feelings he has on geopolitical military strategies just because he has a meeting with some dictator & assesses they’re not a threat or lying because he knows how to read people? My understanding of it was the generals & others in his inner circle were trying to do was educate the president on matters he came into office knowing little about, nothing to be ashamed of every president once in office needs a crash course to be up to speed on world affairs but Donald being the egomaniac he is took it as an insult to his intelligence & proceeded to tell men who’ve dedicated their lives to the safety of this country that they don’t know shit & verbally assaulted them. Trump would be so much more of a sympathetic character if he could just admit he doesn’t know everything all the time, it’s an extremely immature way to behave & for a president it’s completely unacceptable to behave. Especially because he has admitted in the past that he’s not a big reader & has little interest interest in history. Unfortunately what Donald is most passionate about is what people like Brad Pitt think of him. That’s truth of the matter, he’s got middle-Americans completely snowed, there’s a reason he spent his life in mid-town Manhattan & Los Angeles & it’s not because he hates those people, he was one of those people into very recently & believe me Donald would rather cut of his dick rather than live in a place like Kansas or Wyoming. He very upset with Hollywood & news outlets like New York Times & CNN not because of a liberal agenda but because he feels personally betrayed by what he once considered to be friends of his. He wants nothing more than to be loved by celebrities & the mainstream media. Like I said before I’m not some crazed anti-Trump protestor who believes the sky is falling, matter of fact some of his policies have benefited me financially. I’ll agree that Bloomberg is progressive in the way he would govern & tackle difficult issues, progressive in a way he’d approach the system that would differ from the status quo not progressive in a far-left ideological way. You might be right about him possibly using a scientific approach to government when dealing with certain issues but I see nothing wein with that. I was born & raised in New York City my whole life, most of it was in Brooklyn & for the last 8 years I’ve been in Manhattan & I can tell you that a libertarian hands off approach would turn this city into the Wild West. I can also tell you that there never was a time in my 36 years that NYC felt so safe, so prosperous & had so much hope for the future as when Bloomberg ran the city & never once did I feel like I was living in bog brother state.
