there's a difference between a fraction of cars lighting on fire and a few airplanes crashing... Boeing executives would have to be literal morons to think that just selling airplanes that they *knew* were going to crash was going to end up netting them money. plane crashes generate a lot more buzz than cars catching on fire. anybody who isn't literally braindead wouldn't see this playing out any other way
