Boeing sued by more than 400 pilots in class action over 737 MAX's 'unprecedented cover-up'

There's a middle ground. I don't think Boeing should be dissolved over this, but to pretend that unfettered capitalism can't directly lead to dangerous scenarios in this industry is willfully ignorant. Putting corporate greed in quotations like it's something that doesn't actually exist is complete nonsense. Greed is basically the entire premise of a public company.

I think the incidents are an opportunity to examine the relationship between the government agencies and the corporations they are meant to be overseeing. Aggressive oversight and extremely high standards are among the biggest reasons the industry is so safe. That must continue to be the case.

If it's proven that a particularly cozy relationship between a company and its regulators contributed to hundreds of deaths, I absolutely think there are people who should be held responsible for it. That doesn't mean I think the company should be crippled and then absorbed by the government. I suspect you would find very few actual socialists in this country.
