Boo All You Want, Tyron Woodley's 'Boring' UFC 214 Performance Was All Business

I'm glad to see there's a little more sympathy for Woodley among more 'hardcore' fans on this sub, than your typical obnoxious casual at the bar lol...

Don't get me wrong Woodley hasn't come off necessarily endearing to fans demanding big fights right after winning the title & making continuous 'victim' noises alongside that...

But the man won the title, & his first defense were very good AND entertaining fights, the second two not so much but I don't think the criticism he received in comparison to his opponents was just. We'll ignore the second wonder boy fight because, it just simply made sense and the first one was extremely entertaining and close.

The part that I find hilarious is the UFC & Woodley didn't really want to make the Maia fight happen it was quite obvious, it was the fans clammering. Now to be honest I thought in the back of peoples heads they could just visualize either Maia landing a take down & submitting him OR Woodley just landing a huge shot and putting Maia to sleep. What people don't visualize is if both of these things don't happen the mind sets of the fighters...The belt = more money & in MMA more money = fuck all considering other sports...Even if Woodley did just say fuck it i'm going for broke, & let's assume he loses what does the UFC do to reward him after the fight? Most likely nothing...
