Yeah the finale wasn’t perfect but I honestly am confused on a lot of the stuff people are mad about.

Especially that one right here. It was clear soldier boy was after Ryan too. Like people think he was just knocking him off to fight homelander. I thought so too until butcher and solider boy had a clear conversation that Solder wants Ryan’s head too.

Also I don’t get the “ooh if Maeve was that strong why didn’t she fight before”. Plenty of reasons. Just because she can put up a fight doesn’t mean she’s going to win. Homelander clearly has the edge, and while I understand the director says homelander was serious in that fight but there’s no way he’s using 100% of his power. The guy wasn’t even flying. The guy can fly at super speed, he could of killed her if he wanted too. The guy is also unhinged, if Maaeve tried anything and got caught he could not just hurt her but her loved ones. SuperSonic’s death should be an example of which homelander will go to. Also not my strongest point but still worth a mention, it’s probalby a safe bet that Maeve never thought homelander before, she can estimate where she stands with him, he has all her powers plus some more so it’s possible she was telling her self there’s no way she could fight him. We all been in scenarios where we build them bigger in our heads and then when we can go through with them we found out it was easier than expected.

I never got that Maeve was so weak she couldn’t put up a fight, it’s just that she knows homelander would win and he also has vought behind his back…that and the guy is still unhinged and could a pose a threat to her loved ones.
