I think they used Hughie to hint at a season finale showdown between starlight and solider boy. Hughie got blown back by both starlight and solider boy. They made sure to show you the distance he was thrown by both strikes. Both strikes were low power, just meant to teach Hughie a lesson. Hughie travelled about the same distance. To think that there was two similar moments in one episode but its not foreshadowing? Nah mate. I think this was to show us that startlight is just as strong, if not stronger than solider boy. We have yet to see starlight at her full power, and everyone doesn't seem intimidated by her, because shes never really done much. I think starlight is willing to show her powers as a threat to other supes that are seemingly way beyond her level because she knows she can actually pose a threat to anybody.
