Can age gap relationships ever work out? My husband is 17 years older than me

I honestly think that you really shouldn’t be worrying about age gaps, IF you’re already in a relationship with an older man and have children by this man. You’ve made up your mind long ago, and that is to be committed to him. Naturally, you’ll feel saddened by others judgement, especially if the age difference is noticeable.

There comes a time in one’s life when you start to think, why should I let other people’s opinions of me and my s/o affect me? Are they going to pay our bills? No?

This is why I think that personal development needs to be done before embarking on an age gap relationship. Especially when it comes to marriage and children. Also, you need to have open and honest communication with your spouse. Good communication is key. This is the sort of thing you should be talking to him about.
