I’m sorry I’m dumb about these things, which is why I went to a car lot instead of private sale, because I figured they do all this work for me so I don’t have to, which is why I paid them $200 for paperwork/filing fees.

I thought they dealt with the title agency. In fact, they apologized on the phone for the long delay in getting the title from the title agency…out of state sale, covid, bla bla bla. But assured me that they mailed the title to me 2 weeks ago when I phoned, which was the first red flag, when I offered to drive there to pick up the title I was put on hold and then told oh don’t bother, our title guy just sent it in the morning mail today (2 weeks ago).

Do you know of a place or website which can tell me if there is a title in my name for this vin?
