I’m an anti-imperialist. Fuck the CCP empire, fuck the Russian empire, and fuck the United States empire. They are all three, empires on their own. The United States being “better” at doing empire shit doesn’t justify the empire control factors that the others are using. They can all be very, very, very bad for the dissidents within their populations. They enemy of my enemy is not my friend when it comes to empires. They are the same enemy trying different approaches. The president of China (who for all intents and purposes represents their government the same as Biden in the U.S., and Putin in Russia) stated it plainly when he said that autocracies will run the world. If you want to have an honest discussion, then have one, but don’t pretend that the CCP is in any way shape or form concerning itself with human rights. Whataboutisms concerning terrorist empires of any sort help nobody. Our liberties, at our very best, ought and might to lead us toward a healthy and cooperative sort of anarchism. Empires do the opposite, and they will use any lies and immoral tactics they find along their way to get there.
