I'll say it again, REmake proves it's popular. You say there's refinements - an option for novice controls, this is irrelevant since there's nothing stopping future fixed angle games from going the same path and letting people choose.

Most people didn't even know REmake had alternate controls before they bought it. I certainly didn't - I was just happy to buy a classic survival horror.

the point is that a new outbreak would be to expensive for such a big name as resident evil and a remaster with newer controls would work much better and within budget for such an experiment.

You're assuming you know how much this new game will cost and exactly what the fans will want. It's just conjecture

I also completely disagree with your assessment that games shouldn't take risks and should avoid "experimenting" because it might not sell well. Capcom has played it safe with the RE franchise for too long. REmake and RE7's have set a foundation for slow paced survival horror - millions of fans - fans that will gladly eat up an Outbreak release (either a remaster or a file 3). An outbreak isn't as experimental as you're making it out to be.
