That’s a good point. There’s a weekly coffee group of gay men I sometimes attend where some of the guys are 50+ and while they are friendly and good natured they often steer the conversation toward aches and pains, generally declining health and sometimes even incontinence. The younger guys then get told to “enjoy it while it lasts”.

It’s also hard to relate to people who sometimes can’t wrap their minds around others preferred pronouns or that sexuality is a spectrum when it comes to trans, bi, ace, sides etc… I’m not a polyamorous pup, but if I happen to be sitting across from one I’m not going to bombard them with intrusive questions like a living exhibit.
