Canada is long overdue for universal dental care

Universal dental, or even some public coverage for dental and orthodontic work, would be a life-saver for me.

I have gum recession around my lower front central teeth, which my dentist attributes to previous orthodontic work that straightened my teeth but messed up my bite. My dentist now recommends a $20,000 course of epigenetic orthodontic work to produce growth in my upper arch and restore a proper bite. And my current insurance under my parents (which runs out in about 8 months) won't cover any of it because I already had orthodontic work.

Any form of public coverage to at least allay some of the costs of this treatment would be a game changer for me.
