You are reading WAY too much into what I said.

Well I'm reading exactly what you wrote exactly as you wrote it. If I got it wrong then that's because you didn't say it right.

You didn't at any time say "I don't like this because I'm afraid to forget it because I'm not smart enough to not forget a gun.". You very specifically said "I don't like it because you(as in anybody) will forget it because nobody is smart enough to not forget a gun.".

All that I said is that all-tan or all-camo guns just aren't my thing for the reason that I described. I, in no way, shape or form called anyone else stupid or incompetent for having their gun painted like that.

Ah yes, the strawman. I never said you called other people stupid or incompetent for the colour of their gun. What I, in a way that could not be taken any other way said, was you claimed that people are in general stupid and incompetent enough that you believe that having guns matching their environment is a bad thing because they can't help but drop it or forget it somewhere.

And again, if you didn't mean that, you would have said "I might not be able to find it.", not "You might not be able to find it.". But you didn't.

I'm sorry if it came off that way, but that was just my observation.
