Child spends $16K on iPad game in-app purchases

People give other people their credit card and debit cards all the time. They then expect the bank to reverse the charges if the person does something wrong with the cards afterword.

Literally no responsibility.

I understand consumer protections and all, but come on.

My 12 year old took my car, I didn’t know it was missing, then they got into an accident. Toyota should’ve known that I wasn’t the one driving! The car has GPS, they should’ve monitored! Come on, they should’ve known that I don’t normally drive 100 miles away! And now you’re telling me that the insurance company won’t pay out for damages?? And that I am responsible for the damage?? Why should I be responsible for protecting my key, not keeping an eye on my child, and not noticing my car was gone??

An excessive example for sure, but it gets the point across.

Luckily for her companies don’t like negative backlash, and the product is digital, so they will likely just reverse the charges.
