Chinese national pleads guilty to running 'birth tourism' scheme in US

The issue solves itself if we all follow the laws. If they are visitors or temporary refugees, they shouldn't get to automatically become citizens. If they apply to immigrate here because they want to be citizens and they become citizens before their kids are born the issue becomes moot. I could see a buffer time limit of a couple years for the in between gray period before they get their citizenship and after their kids are born as long as they applied first. Base it off the average time from applying to getting citizenship.

My issue is people breaking the law to be unable to be deported until their children are adults. Getting here and hiding from the law for X time shouldn't give you citizenship. Thats a reward for breaking the law and it's not something we should promote.
