I think the issue is that she offers them nothing they care about that they aren't already disillusioned by. People are unsatisfied with how Obama has solved issues in that continue to exist (shitty veteran treatment, perpetual imperialist geopolitics, projections of environmental disaster even in the best scenario but we still need to frack, an antibiotic resistant apocalypse from farms that hardly anyone talks about, a lack of food despite said farms growing huge livestock with the aid of antibiotics, minorities that continue to live in shit conditions, etc.), and Clinton is not the answer.

They're instead greeted with this racist parody who might be a rapist and a Russian stooge (wat?), told to fear him because their votes will make a difference, or to make her victory so obvious he can't deny it, even though he still would, etc..

R/politics has become a mockery of a circlejerk fest. They don't talk about the issues that the news do not cover, They just echo what is on the news even more so. Right about the same time as DNC wrapped up.
