CM Punk received his BJJ blue belt from Daniel Wanderlei today

"His dream" lol. It's not his dream at all, that's just the only way he can market himself with this sport, because he knows he has no business being there. He looked like a goddamn idiot in every facet of the sport when it came to that Gall fight. Not just the actual fight, but everything. He made an ass out of himself and he made the UFC look like they promote amateur fights. Fighters have a certain mentality, a coolness, an intensity, whatever you want to call it. Watching him in there at pressers or staredowns it was just like....this guy is so totally out of his depth. He plays fighter, he isn't a fighter. He seemed scared, confused, and then the tears came after the fight and it was just like fuck. You don't belong here. And don't try to twist that into me generalizing about any fighter who cries after a fight, because it's not that. It's just how pathetic he came across. He knew he was going to lose, he lost, then he cried because he realized this totally isn't for him. While trying to get a pity party for "He chased his dream and made it!" when this has been his dream since the moment Vince McMahon fired him and not a second before. He wouldn't have gotten even three of Dana White's phone digits if he didn't have a name. His "journey" proved nothing and isn't an inspiration for anybody who doesn't already have a successful WWE career. Go listen to any other UFC fighter's background on how they got to the UFC if you actually want inspiration. They are all much better stories than CM Punk's.

He did this mainly out of spite to Vince McMahon and the WWE. He wanted to draw a big PPV number, so he could then paste that PPV number to his ballsack and drop it on Vince and Hunter's faces, because they told him he wasn't a PPV draw. And that's fine, as a wrestling fan I absolutely LOVED what he said about them (and the wrestling business in general). He was a great performer, too. So it's kind of awesome that he took on the WWE system in a sense, and won.

But he managed to take all of that goodwill, and somehow make himself totally unlikable to me, with this UFC "career". I wish he would have just went in for an announcer's gig or something, which he would have ruled at. Work WITH the WWE's competition, make good money, spend your time doing and talking about something you like. CM Punk the snarky announcer is a million times more likable than CM Punk, the amateur fighter who's "living his dream" by being so awful at fighting that he can sell PPVs to see him get killed and then laugh at him as he cries afterwards. While his "dream" itself is only achievable because of his name value from pro wrestling, and would never happen in any other sport.
