CMV: Redpill only exists because society mistreats men

You know what one of the reasons is that men commit more suicide? Toxic masculinity. I'm deadly serious here.

Men are struggling with their personal life/career/feelings/whatever? Let's tell them to suck it up, to toughen up and wait it out or even to humiliate or insult them for appearing 'weak' as men 'should be' strong and stoïc. Feelings are for women, after all!

It's a message that is constantly thrown around, during childhood ('boys don't cry'), by peers in the teenage years ('what are you, a faggot/pussy?'), but ironically also in places as TRP where 'feelings' are the domain of women and men should actively avoid showing them.

You can claim all you want that it is our 'feminized society' (the OP seems to imply that is it mostly feminism at fault), but men and the way they treat each other play a huge role as well.

Other than that, I can think of a few other reasons the male number is higher: 1) Men generally lack a strong social support network to talk about their feelings/issues. This is more accepted in groups of women.

2) When men commit suicide, they take a more 'extreme' approach (gun to the face) more often, whereas women do things as overdose.

3) This is a personal belief of mine, but men taking more extreme measures or men becoming alcoholics or addicts is partially because of men not being taught to handle their emotions as well as women, which results in 'explosions' and exteme behaviours more often as well.

TL;DR While society and feminism may play a part in the issues with male suicide, it is also men and their beliefs and behaviours towards other men and themselves that are harmful when they face personal struggles. If we want to handle the male issues, we should critically look at the way many people expect men to behave.
