CMV: Saving up every penny I can to retire early is by far the best move for me.

I don't feel particularly comfortable posting too much personal detail here. It's an outside risk, but still a risk that I don't want people to someone figure out who I am IRL and get fired.

Two things about making money on said hobbies. One is that I don't have hobbies that would likely adapt too well to money making (I'm not a musician or an artist for example) and secondly I made this point to another person, but there is a phenomenon where doing a hobby for money tends to kill a lot of the interest in said hobby. It's certainly done so for me with regards to math and teaching already. I think it has to do with the repetitive nature of work (doing the hobby the same way repeatedly) and doing it in a way that makes money and is legal. So this means doing it by the book and/or the way the "customer" wants it rather than how you want it and also the fact that in order to make money on it you're kind of stuck doing that hobby. It leads to not being able to get bored with said hobby and put it away for a week or two and come back to it later.
