So here's the story. Awhile back I ordered myself a dash cam for my car on Amazon, well they messed up and sent me two of them. I traded the dash cam for a mobo, CPU, ram and PSU. So that takes care of those parts.

Then I dusted off some old parts that I wasn't using anymore from previous builds. That's where the case and the mouse comes from. They've been sitting in my closet for about a year now. The Node 304 is green because at the time I had an Arma 3 theme going on for my build.

Then I went to my boss at work because I knew we had leftover parts laying around and asked if I could buy a monitor and a keyboard off of him. He wound up just giving them to me since we weren't going to be using them for anything anymore and most likely they would wind up scrap anyway. Cool, free keyboard and monitor.

Then I went back to /r/hardwareswap and started looking for a dirt cheap GPU. I looked up the system requirements for Don't Starve Together and Civilization V. I factored in that my fiancee would be playing in 1440x900 so I could get away with running an older GPU. I picked up a EVGA 9800GTX+ for $30. This was the first time I spent money on this build.

The only thing left that I needed was a HDD. I started looking around and found a used 80GB WD 7200rpm drive on Amazon for 7.50 with Prime shipping (I have Prime so it was a big deal to get the free 2 day shipping on this extreme a budget).
