Tariffs aren't totally free trade. But they are way preferable to extortionate income taxes. It is a far more free market when there are tariffs and no income tax rather than massive income tax and no tariffs.

As for free speech, Trump is constantly talking about expanding libel laws. Which the US doesn't have. And he he constantly sues people over their free speech. Like Bill Maher making a joke about Trump providing his birth certificate to prove he wasn't birthed by a orangutang

There's a difference between someone insulting the president, and someone spreading falsehoods. The news media has been constantly spreading falsehoods for the last year about Trump, about Trump supporters, and about Trump's campaign, with no evidence. And actually, we do have precedent for libel in the USA.
