Just like North Korea, they care so much for they're citizens! economic crises or starvation? Kim is about to give up everyone!! You seem to not understand how dictatorships work, it's going to go on either till there is a huge uprising (unlikely) or someone invades and takes over the country (unlikely). So whatever fever dream you have of "Cuba is about to give up after 50 years!!!" it's not going to happen.

Obama's idea was to make Cuba dependent on US, like US is dependent on China, like EU is dependent on Russian gas and oil, open wars between these can never happen because of globalization, everyone is dependent on everyone. Integrate US businesses, connect people to the internet, make them see lifestyle of US citizens, this is how change happens, when people can look over the fence and see that grass is greener. Trumps idea is "I'll do nothing and everything will improve!" people did nothing for 50 fucking years, nothing will change, everyone in Cuba will starve to death before change will happen.
