Customer Service Megathread

I have a flight scheduled to leave Monday morning at 5:30 AM. When I checked my confirmation number this evening only the return flight is on the itinerary.

I have an email confirmation of my expected itinerary that was delivered to me on Oct. 12. Delta only shows the second half of this itinerary in their system - obviously I can't use the return leg if I never get there to begin with.

Customer service is offering me available seats on my original flights, but at an additional cost of $432.80 when I've already paid for both legs.

In addition, I paid for comfort plus, so I'm not only being double charged but offered a downgrade on my seats as those are the only ones available.

Customer service (through chat, haven't gotten through via phone) refuses to budge on the charge, even though I can show receipts that I've already paid $1133.65 for these flights.

Do I have any recourse or am I at the mercy of their customer service agent if I want to get to my destination on time?
