Idk man he seems to have dedicated basically his whole recording career to "angsty teen stuff" and it can get really, really cringeworthy at times. Like, more often than not it's just too much. But my God, that hour-plus Westwood freestyle is probably the single most impressive display of rapping ability I've ever seen from one of these new wave cats. Dude was just sitting there, improvising consistently solid bars, with a handful of real gems tucked in there as well, for the length of his album.

Sad thing is, he's probably caught up in the idea that he should be making music with "substance" that will "stick with people," totally unaware that he could build a legitimate legacy off of the freestyles, man. When you're that skilled with it, emotional weight is no longer a requirement - and besides, overall, he's not very good at consistently providing emotional impact with his sad songs.
