Daily Fasting Check-in!

Day two of 18:6. It’s the first day my schedule is a bit different due to a midday appointment that will take 2-3 hours, which has historically made me go off track. I’ve lost 4 pounds in two days, I’m sure it’s just water weight but progress is always nice to see. Keeping my caloric intake around 1500-1600 calories a day which is only slightly lower than the suggested amount to lose 1 lb a week. I’m not counting meticulously, that tends to send me into a spiral that looks like worrying over potential calories in toothpaste but I’m doing my best to be healthy about it. I deleted the tracking apps that told me to eat 1k calories and am doing it by hand in a journal.

Not working out yet but plan to start light cardio soon. I do drink coffee with a tiny bit of almond milk and truvia within my fasting window in the morning, I’m not willing to give it up. It was easy to stick my head in the sand about my weight in the past but now it might be messing with my ovulation and we’re hoping to try for a baby next year. I need to lose 50 pounds to be comfortable, 80 to be happy. Focusing on upping protein and limiting carbs (and only eating whole grain/wheat).

Yesterdays meal log: Coffee with almond milk and truvia Breakfast: Whole wheat English muffin w. 2 fried eggs and spinach with berries (400 calories) Snack: Greek vanilla yogurt with blueberries and granola (120 calories) Lunch: leftover air fried salmon with cauliflower rice and broccoli (400 calories) Snack: whole grain crackers (160 calories) Dinner: coleslaw shrimp salad with avocado (325 calories) Snack: banana with peanut butter (285 calories)
