Damaged car, and rights surrounding repair

This is the thing, I don't trust them to do it properly as it's already been damaged by them and they couldn't even follow a request I made about not washing it after promising me it wouldn't be washed in the first place. 3 times I told them not to wash it and 3 times they said it wouldn't be washed. Collected it, some bastard had basically used a scouring pad on it, it was a right state.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask they treat your possession (an expensive one at that) in a way you're happy with.

All I want them to do is remove the boot lid and paint it properly vs a quick bodge job (not unreasonable) and not wash the bloody thing (again, not unreasonable and actually less work for them!)

The issue is if I give them chance to repair it and they cause a load more hassle that's expensive to put right, I don't want to be chasing them for months while they refuse to pay up, or worse end up out of pocket.

If you don't want to do the journey I'm sure you can hire a firm to arrange delivery and collection.

I can but then it's an expense I shouldn't have to pay, IMO. I can't even go to a local Renault dealer (of which there are a few, all much closer than them), they're forcing me to trek all the way back to them.
