I'm not prone to anxiety attacks. I generally have a very relaxed attitude in most things even in times of stress.

This isn't an anxiety attack.

My problem is gastrointestinal. When I feel those symptoms I've mentioned above the heart palpitations do not always accompany them. But in general when I manage my GERD with OTC omeprazole my symptoms greatly diminish palpitations included. In times of particularly painful symptoms a combination of omeprazole, reduced diet and anti-inflammatories I can, over a period of about a week feel that sliding sensation from my chest into my abdomen and all of those symptoms abate.

The only organ that is capable of sliding from abdomen to chest is the stomach by way of a torn diaphragm sphincter.
