Darksiders 3 Official Reveal Trailer – IGN First

I'm worried. This is a series that has had excellent gameplay but failed because of a lack of marketing - and a big part of that is a lack of characterization in the protagonists both in a lack of vulnerability/humanity and an art style that looks like the bad guys on a heavy metal cover. . . the good guys on heavy metal covers are made more human by wearing less clothes - not heavy armor. This new female character is just as covered in armor as her brother and her face is even more of a cartoon. On top of all this, the characterization appears to be even more cold and inhuman (she taunts her 'brother' instead of showing concern for his captivity).

Having said that, maybe there are enough people who have played and enjoyed the gameplay in the other Darksiders games that this will get media attention and people will get it anyway. I can't think of any examples of that though because Dark Souls may not have a narrative, but it absolutely has effective characterization via superb art design.
