DBT abusive??

I think it depends on the trauma that led your brain to go down the route of bpd, as well as whether or not you're generally a "let's get on with it" sort of person. Like the article mentions being told your severe and life altering traumatic events are something you just should get over (often in the first instances of being in therapy) isn't helpful or trauma informed at all.

For some people it could be the mental breakthrough they need, to process it as something that happened and to move on from it, but it just doesn't suit everybody. It's worth trying at the very least even if it's on your own going through the workbook and then if you find it to be helpful you can reach out for professional support on your journey.
