In my case; my boyfriend is my FP and due to living in a small Apartment, there is almost no place for retreat. Because of this Setup, we almost notice everything of each other. So he also noticed about being my FP, so I couldn‘t hide ist for long. But he is pretty „relaxed“ about this and suprisingly; he deals great with it. We found a way to get along with. I try not to overreact (and to think about what saying next, not just to hurt the other part) and he sees things not that „serious“ and has some kind of understanding for this situation.

So I think it‘s depending on both of your personalities and of your relationship to each other. But I can understand you wanting to beeing honest to your FP (or being honest in a general rule)
