Democrats have had 50 years to solve this problem. During many of those years, they had a supermajority in congress. During some of those years they held both congress and the presidency. The truth is it was more useful to use abortion as a wedge issue than to actually do something about it. That strategy blew up in their face.

People like Manchin are useful villains. There are plenty of other Democrats who use his kind as cover. It's always easier to blame someone else. You don't have to actually do anything.

Instead of holding these people accountable for their failure, I'm told to vote blue no matter who. What a great strategy. It's gotten us a bunch of nothing.
