Diablo Immortal: Activision Blizzard's Latest Scam The Jimquisition

They aren’t whales if they’re sending themselves in to debt. Whales are cashed up users who can afford to spend egregious amounts of money on a game.

A whale is the big payday for the game devs. Nothing more, nothing less. Even a beached whale is a whale, it’s just no longer useful to pursue.

People are responsible for their own expenditures.

Your argument falls flat when you build 50 levels of dopamine hits into your game before hitting people up for the big money.

Blizzard is a company with shareholders. It makes products with the intention of maximizing profits from said products. So long as they aren’t doing anything illegal and their practices aren’t alienating the majority of their playerbase (most won’t reach end game), then it is difficult to see where the harm is.

Also, their practices are literally illegal in MANY countries, their practices clearly are alienating the vast majority of the player base. And claiming that the players that won’t reach end game aren’t part of the player base is like saying people who die before pension were never part of the workforce.

Your arguments are asinine and you should re-examine your life choices to this point if you think anything you said is a valid defense of this behavior.
