Diagnosed with stage 4 Ewing's Sarcoma a month ago at the age of 20. First round of chemo begins today! Wish me luck, Reddit!

the content isn't actually pics

It's literally a picture.

this isn't that place
According to who? It obviously seems like this is that place.

The problem should be fixed

What problem? You're assuming it's a problem for everyone? It's obviously just a problem for a very small minority. Why should the "problem" be fixed just for you few people? Doesn't seem fair.

It would be like if I turned on Cartoon Network and they were playing the NBA Finals, but I wanted to watch cartoons, and the people watching the finals said "whoa there, plenty of us are enjoying this, so just let it be"

I see your point. It's like MTV was once a music video channel. They went for what the majority wanted for their channel. So? Music video's didn't just die out. Now we have YouTube for example. Point is, there's almost always another place you can enjoy the things you want to enjoy.

By your logic we should just be able to post anything into any sub and as long as it's upvoted that should be good enough.

Absolutely not. There are boundaries, but I think this one is fine. Sub is called pic. This is a pic. This sub isn't exactly very specific. If it breaks any rules, report it, and if the mods are doing an OK job, they should remove it if it was against the subreddit rules.
