This also unlocked a memory for me. When I was like 8, narc parent was asking to me to help make their bed. I don't remember anything bad happening before or them being in a bad mood. I had never made a bed before that wasn't my tiny kid bed. They had a huge king and while I was struggling with the fitted sheet on my side I unhooked it from the side narc was working on. It was like all of a sudden I had committed a horrible crime bc narc angrily jerked the sheet from my hands and screamed at me at the top of their lungs about my incompetence. It still makes me feel bad to this day even though it wasn't my fault they expected me to just instinctively know how to perfectly put on sheets.
